Description: Handwritten letter from Samuel Prescott Fay (1884-1971) to Mabel Choate (1870-1858), thanking her for hosting him on a recent visit. Fay notes that they visited the Mission House after a visit. In it, Fay thanks Choate for the gift of his "favorite bourdeaux," Château Mouton Rothschild. He also references a visit to the Mission House and adds that he will advise William Sumner Appleton, Jr. (1874-1947) to also make a visit there. Samuel Prescott Fay was a Harvard graduate from Boston, as well as an explorer known for his 1914 expedition to the Canadian Rockies.
