Description: The Long Hill Correspondence Collection contains correspondence written by Isobel Marjorie Russel Sedgwick (1896-1978). Sedgwick developed the gardens at Long Hill through establishment of Carriage House Garden and the woodland slope garden. Included are two letters to Jack Tynan and Sidney Lockwood Tynan detailing her journey to Asia.; Sedgwick is the second wife of Ellery Sedgwick (1872-1960), the original owner of Long Hill. After they married in 1930, she lived at Long Hill until her death in 1978.
