Description: Copy of the July 1905 edition, Vol. 1, No. 7, of The Valve World, a publication released by Crane Co. of Chicago, Illinois. The cover features a black and white photograph of Richard Teller Crane, Sr. (1832-1912), the founder of the company and its president at that time. He is seated and in profile. Behind the portrait is a color illustration of oak leaves, acorns, and branches that stretches across the full cover. This issue was the "Special Jubilee Number" and celebrated the 50th anniversary of the company. Contents include Teller's speech at the company jubilee picnic, illustrations of Crane products, a history of Crane Co., and an overview of the company departments and locations.
