Description: Architectural plans of the Formal Garden to be placed around the Italian Renaissance Revival Villa at Castle Hill in Ipswich, Massachusetts. This one page design, the fifth sheet of garden plan no. 24, contains drawings of the floor plans and elevation of the garden house and pergola of the garden. Both rear and front views of the garden house and pergola are given. The Olmsted Brothers were a landscape architecture firm based out of Brookline, Massachusetts who operated from 1898 to 1961 under this name who were the sons of architect Frederick Law Olmsted who designed Central Park in New York City. The firm designed the formal gardens around the Italian Renaissance Revival Villa in 1911. Much of the garden still remains intact.
