Description: Architectural design for the Formal Gardens at Castle Hill. This one-paper design contains revised drawings of the garden houses in the formal garden that surrounded the Italian Renaissance Revival in 1911. The drawings shows the plans for the interior and exterior designs of these buildings. The Olmsted Brothers were a landscape architecture firm based out of Brookline, Massachusetts who operated from 1898 to 1961 under this name. They were the sons of architect Frederick Law Olmsted (1822-1903), who designed Central Park in New York City. The firm designed the formal gardens around the Italian Renaissance Revival Villa in 1911. Much of the garden still remains intact.
